Time Flight

Wow, guess it's been a while since I updated the blog. Life got busy & I kind of forgot about it. I've most been rambling to myself & any other friends kind enough to listen. I felt the need to update the blog, but I really don't have much to say.

As for what I've been rambling about, I've recently discovered NCIS & pass the time watching episodes when I can. I think a secret part of me is a forensic investigator. I love that USA airs mini marathons. Even if I'm busy, I can record the episodes & have my own NCIS marathon whenever I want.

I've hit a wall watching Deadliest Catch. Phil was always my favorite of the captains, and I got pretty emotional when he passed in February. Watching the early episodes this season was a bit difficult, but around episode 5, something in me stopped watching. It's not that I've lost interest, it's knowing that there will come the episode where Phil has the stroke & his saga comes to an end. Rationally, I know he's gone, but I think a part of me believes that if I never watch the episodes, he'll be in the Bering Sea forever. My husband has his own theories about my avoidance, something about Phil reminding me of my dad & reminding that my own father will not be here forever. Ok, so there may be some validity to that theory, but I don't want to deal with it right now. So, Deadliest Catch episodes pile up on my DVR & Phil fishes on in my mind.

Bookwise, I recently read John Barrowman's first autobiography Anything Goes. It was fantastic! I can't wait to read the next one! I'm currently reading a Torchwood novel, Something in the Water. I continue to devour the Sookie Stackhouse novels as soon as they come out & Charlaine Harris knocked another one out of the park with Dead in the Family.

I'm also catching up on Doctor Who. I was hesistant about Matt Smith at first, but he is finding his own place in the body of the Doctor. I've recently finished watching Flesh & Stone, and I can't wait to see what the rest of the season holds. Hey, I know I'm behind on TV, but I finally got a DVR & I'm putting it to good use.

So, that's a mini update on what's being going on in my little neck of the woods. I'll try to be a little less sporadic with the updates.
